Who Then Can He Save?
A special message from ASI president Frank Fournier...
Jesus was perfect, yet in His humanity He could have failed. Obviously then, even if we manage to reflect the image of Jesus fully, we could still choose to sin. Wouldn’t that inescapable fallibility prove a risk to heaven’s eternal security? After all, didn’t “Angelic perfection fail in heaven and human perfection fail in Eden?” Bear in mind, unlike us, these were sinless beings in a perfect environment, living in God’s very presence, and still they failed.
Who then can God safely save?
Actually, except for the power inherent in the sacrifice of Christ, no one is safe to save. “That which alone can effectually restrain from sin in this world of darkness will prevent sin in heaven . . . It is through the efficacy of the cross that the angels of heaven are guarded from apostasy. Without the cross they would be no more secure against evil than were the angels before the fall of Satan.” Read more...
Project Report
Eden Valley Foster Care Mission
Eden Valley Foster Care Mission, which serves 800 orphans and residents in and around Mafinga, Iringa, Tanzania, reports that 2010 ASI project funds have successfully been used to build two staff homes, two dorms, and a garage, as well as to install a hydro-electric power plant. The two dorms housed 35 of the mission's 50 students last year. Bathroom and shower blocks with large septic tanks were also built by each dorm. The garage is big enough to span three shipping containers, a two-ton truck, a tractor, and a pickup, as well as storage space for maize and beans. "Many, many thanks to ASI for your assistance in making this happen," says project director Janet Fournier."
